Little Better....
Whoo-eee. It's been a rough couple of days.
I'm over the whole not getting accepted to HYRS thing. Yeah, it's a bummer, but I'll live. That was a bit of a rough day. Wednesday, I was all sick in bed with food poisoning. Yup, food poisoning. Not from my cooking I might add. It was pretty narsty (yes, narsty), with the puking and the hacking and the way things refused to stop spinning.
But, nothing makes me feel better like a new addition to my stash! That's right, my Knitpicks yarn finally came! Seriously, seeing that little package on the counter made everything better. See the pictures? SEE?!

It's so PRETTY! The picture does NOT do it justice, at all. Like I had already said, I ordered two balls each of Snapdragon and Sunset, which are both self-striping! I absolutely cannot WAIT to turn them into socks!
So, after Wednesday was Thursday, which included a mad rush. I had to finish the scrapbook we made for our band director, who's leaving us after six years. We presented it to her at our Fine Arts Gala (affectionately known as the FAG) last night, where I also won three awards. Band Citizenship, Outstanding Musician, and a copy of the award we all got, Superior at the Alberta Festival of Bands. Which, I might add, is the highest and hardest rating to earn. We're just that good.
Then, there was the rushing to finish my social term paper, which was finally cranked off at 9:30 this morning. Nothing like waiting till the last minute I guess.
So now, I'm done school, with the exception of my two exams, which aren't for another week and a half. I've got my next few knitting projects all lined up. First, I have to finish Lindsay's dishcloths. Then, I'm making the Punk Rock Backpack from Debbie Stoller's "Stitch n Bitch." It's either for me, or the boyfriend's sister. Prolly the latter. After that comes socks, and then a sweater. I plan to be busy knitting all summer.
Oh, and does anyone know what regulations regarding knitting needles on a plane are? Anyone?
I'm off to go finish my postcard for the swap. For now, I leave y

We call it "O rly?"
