Cosmically Un-important
I'm at work.
And I've done all of my work.
Absolutely all of it.
So now, I get to puruse and update.
I must say, looking at all of the knitting blogs out there is some crazy good inspiration. My fingers are twitching with the urge to knit.
I'm almost done the second sock. These are good luck socks for a friend of mine to wear to Japan. She needs socks for tea ceremony, and while traditionally these socks should be white, she's obtained special permission to wear the multicoloured, brightly variegated socks that I've knit. They're looking so so so good, if I do say so myself.
Which I just did.
I'd never made socks before, because I was under the impression that they were difficult things, to be attempted by only the most advanced of knitters. I put it off because I thought that it required extreme patience, a virtue which I do not possess.
I will say, I was horribly, horribly wrong.
They are the single easiest things that I have ever made.
That being said, I cannot wait to make more.
I had ordered a copy of "Stitch and Bitch" from another library (I work at the library....) and it came in today. So now, my list of summer projects has been lengthed to include almost every single project in that book.
I kid you not.
This book is AMAZING.
Right. And before I go, I figured it worth mentioning that after much hard work and trying, I'm finally allowed to start a kniting group. It's being done as a library group, who will meet on Wednesday nights. I'm to teach whomever signs up how to knit. The first project will be squares for "Blankets for Canada", and then we'll see where it goes from there.
I know that no one really reads this, except for my teachers, who only read it to mark my independent projects. Which consists of knitting, and configuring HTML codes.
But still. I think it's worth mentioning.
