And I'm singing while I post this.
Just because I can.
Still sad about my birdy. Just for those of you keeping score at home.
School's still in, still consuming all of my time.
Well, most of it anyways.
I pretty much owned up my physicst test today. 86%. Pretty good for not studying at all, huh?
And Calc, well I love Calc. Enough to capitalise it. Enough to buy a book about it.
While it's easy, it takes a super long time to write everything out. Mostly proofs.
Especially proofs.
On the knitting front...
The secret project is finished. Finito. El Done.
What was it you ask? (
You being the...one, possibly two people reading this...)
Tubey. From Knitty, Winter 05.
I've had my eye on it for quite some time. And now, I'm wearing it.
Pictures? Well, my camera is out of commission (read: not working), but I borrowed the mother's to mark this

momentous occasion.
So, here's the back. A lovely picture taken by Pat, while I perused the fridge.
You'll notice I did a little stripey pattern. I quite like it.
And there's the front. That's my "Hey, I can be a model too, right?" pose. And our kitchen, in all of it's glory.
Tubey Sweater
Pattern: Knitty, Winter 05
Started: The day before my English Exam (Jan 20)
Finished: Last Wednesday.
Yarn:

Oh gosh I'm cheap. It's an acrylic/cotton blend. More cotton than acrylic. I just can't afford the luxury stuff :(
Needles: I used a small, circular, US size 8 needle for the sleeves, and a larger one for the body. The pattern called for dpns, but I just magic looped it.
Modifications: I made the arms a teensy bit longer, as well as smaller around. My arms seem somehow...twiggier. I also made the body a bit longer, and altered the stripe pattern. All in all, I'm super happy with this sweater. I've worn it three times in the week since I've finished it, and each time I get asked where I bought it. I love the super unique neckline, and how it's warm and comfy, without being bulky.
Onto my next little project: I knit a cupcake! That's right. I really liked the pattern, but thought "Whatever will I do with a knitted cupcake?!" Enter Kristi, this really cool girl who plays bass clarinet in the school band. Turns out she has this...thing for cupcakes. A great excuse for me to make one, no? So I did. I modified
this pattern a bit. The biggest thing is, I picked up a bunch of stitches where the "icing" meets the "wrapper" and added two rows of single crochet. I think it makes it look better. I also added some seed beed "sprinkles" to it. I absolutely LOVE the little cherry. Maybe I
do need a knitted cupcake after all...

Here it is, on a nice little plate and everything. In front of fruit, no less. How artsy!
And, for your viewing pleasure (
or displeasure, if that's the case...) A gratuitious shot of me trying to balance the cupcake on my head. Because, ever

yone knows that's where a cupcake goes.
Gosh, that sure is a nice sweater.
Sleep time for me.

ETA - Hot damn, I need to invest in a haircut, and some makeup.
