FO!

Finally, after four weeks of not so steady working, my sweater is done.
Finished.
The end.
And I love it.
I have pictures.
They're not that great. My "built-it-myself" webcam is a little grainy.
So, this is the pattern I used.
Needless to say, I look absolutely NOTHING like the model.
My torso is slimmer, and my arms seem to be longer. And I prefer to wear it as a cowl-neck. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure it's my new favorite sweater.
I used Bernat satin yarn. Normally, I'm a bit of a yarn snob, and refuse to use the cheap-y Walmart type yarns, but I really liked this. And, I don't exactly get to be a yarn snob at my current eight bucks an hour.
So, I'm working on getting pictures, but that might take a while.

In other knitting news, I'm almost done with Emma's going away socks. They seem to be going quite well, and because I love knitting them so much, I've already decided that socks will be everyone's Christmas gifts this year.
Ergo, I have made my very first internet sock yarn order. Which was incredibly exciting.
I chose some of the Knitpicks clearance yarn. Because I can afford $2.99 a ball. I'm using "Simple stripes", because I love the way striping yarn works. Sunset for my younger sister, and Snapdragon, either for myself or for someone else. Haven't decided yet. Either way. Vair excited.
Now, it's off to work on the socks, read some of my book (Marya Hornbacher's Wasted) and then to work.

So...close....

I am so close to being done my off the shoulder sweater that it hurts.
Literally.
I'm just finishing the collar, which is 160 stitches in the round.
I worked for about four hours straight on it yesterday, and my fingers are cramped beyond belief.
One and a half inches away from being done. Then I've got some crazy seaming to do.

In other news, I finished four out of six of Lindsay's dishclothes.
I'll give the other two to him the next time we work together I suppose.
Finished the first and cast on for the second "good luck" sock, as I refuse to get Second Sock Syndrome.
And now I'm at work. I've done all that needs to be done, and I still have 2.5 hours to go.
Dare I knit?

Mother's Day... Done.

Yay! I finished my three dishclothes for mother's day just in time.
I must say, they're pretty much the easiest things that I have EVER knit. It takes a little less than an hour to do one.
My horrible home-built webcam doesn't really do them justice. In fact, it washes them out, and makes them look like something knit by a monkey.
I can assure you, I am not a monkey.
So, you can kinda see it in the last photo, the colour is a light blue and white variegated. I tied them all together in a pretty bundle, and mom loves them.
Or at least, that's what she said.
Now, I have six to make for a coworker, who will actually pay me for them.
A pair of good luck socks to finish for my friend going to Japan. (I must say, socks are a LOT easier than I thought. I'm definitely a sock knitter.)
And lastly, my off the shoulder sweater.
That's about it...
